4 years ago if the cabinets will outlive the flooring which is usually the case with vinyl plank then put the cabinets in first. The contractor wants to install the floor first vinyl interlocking planks. This goes for any type of flooring although not always for the same reasons. You will need to leave the expansion space 1 8 inch minimum 1 4 inch optimum and then add a piece of moulding or quarter round.

As for the areas left without laminate we recommend uninstalling your flooring to a place where you can add in the necessary planks as if you were installing for the first time and install around the kitchen cabinets. It s harder to install i know by cutting around the cabinets but you want to do it right. I ll leave the temp ranges to someone else. Depending on which you install you may be able to install under cabinets.

Pay attention to cancork s advice. I have been told that the only time you install cabinets over flooring is if you are intalling ceramic tile as flooiring.
